Passionate about Quilting

Hi! I’m Ida. My first job was picking up pins in my mom’s drapery shop when I was six years old, and I started quilting when I was a junior in high school. I’ve been surrounded by fabric and textiles all of my life, and I have over 40 years of experience in the quilting world. It is my goal to provide a wonderful experience for you and I enjoy helping you create quilts that can be handed down through generations and become a part of a family’s history. Please be assured that the love and care you have already devoted to your quilt will be continued here at Ida’s Custom Quilts.

My specialty is long arm quilting. I complete all quilts on a Gammill Statler computerized machine.

My passion for fabric and quilts runs deep within my family roots. My grandmother and mother created quilts for their loved ones for years which are cherished more than ever now that they are gone. They also ran a drapery business where I spent much of my time as a child growing up. I learned to love fabric and the process involved to create works of art.

My husband, Glen and I have been married for 38 years, we have five children and their spouses and 16 grandkids.

We live in Utah and love to play in the mountains. We love to hike and ride bikes. We love to spend time with family and to travel.
